Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks a Field Service Engineer 1 in the Columbus, OH service region. The role focuses on Monitoring/Networking/Telemetry with a five 8-hour shift pattern.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with installations, and troubleshoot to resolve issues while supporting customer satisfaction. Applicants should have engineering education or equivalent military experience, travel willingness, and a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) or equivalent military education; or GEHC biomed/FE internship or apprenticeship; or HS diploma with 2+ years service experience.
• Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to travel for training and service work.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• Work Location: Columbus, OH service region.

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or Corrective Repairs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic service on designated equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
• Engage with commercial counterparts to identify sales leads and assist in revenue programs.
• Maintain professional demeanor in high-stress customer environments.
