Job summary

Pace Analytical in Columbus, OH seeks a specialist to maintain, diagnose, and repair HPLC, UPLC, GC and IC systems. You will calibrate and qualify instruments, implement improvements, and manage parts inventory while supporting customers with troubleshooting results.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of instrument experience, with travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field; 3+ years analytical instrument experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of laboratory and analytical instrumentation, HPLC/UPLC/GC/IC systems, metrology standards.
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues on HPLC/UPLC/GC/IC systems; familiarity with Agilent/Waters LC or Thermo IC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, GC and/or IC systems.
• Calibration and qualification of HPLC, UPLC, GC and/or IC systems.
• Recommend and implement improvements to analytical instruments.
• Source parts to ensure inventory of consumables and repair parts.
