Job summary

Pace Analytical in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to execute maintenance, repair, and qualification testing of HPLC, UPLC, GC and IC systems onsite.

You will calibrate instruments, implement improvements, and coordinate parts and supplies while providing troubleshooting support to customers and staff.

A Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field with 3+ years of experience is required; travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or closely related field and at least 3 years analytical instrument experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory and analytical instrumentation, HPLC, UPLC, GC and/or IC systems.
• Experience with Agilent/Waters LC and UPLC systems and/or Thermo IC instruments, preferred.
• Methods to resolve area problems, questions, and concerns.
• Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, GC and/or IC systems.
• Provides calibration and qualification of HPLC, UPLC, GC and/or IC systems.
• Recommends and implements improvements to HPLC, UPLC, GC and/or IC systems.
• Sources and orders supplies and parts to ensure inventory of consumables and repair parts for instruments.
• Interacts with customers/staff to provide analytical instrument support, explanation of troubleshooting results, and solutions.
