Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Service Engineer – Equipment Support to provide on-site equipment support to customers, responding to breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance. You will collaborate with regional teams and product management to ensure optimal machine performance.

The role emphasizes strong electro–mechanical knowledge, hands-on equipment control, and effective communication to resolve issues and train customer personnel. Up to 50% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong electro–mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with latest equipment control processes.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in equipment support.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment support to customers with immediate on-site response during machine breakdowns to minimize MTTR.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance to maximize MTBF and availability.
• Support auxiliary equipment; coordinate with product management, regional teams and tech centers.
• Provide training to customer personnel for maintenance schedules and issue resolution.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and address inquiries.
• Travel up to 50% as required.
