Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support high-tech laser systems and vacuum products across scientific and industrial applications. You will install, align, diagnose, and repair ultrafast laser equipment while training customers on operation and maintenance.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, excellent communication, and willingness to travel across North America. The position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years' experience with lasers.
• Strong troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical and optical systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• System installation, diagnose and repair ultra short pulse laser systems and align optics.
• Maintain operational functionality of laser equipment.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system.
• Interface with customers and factory on administrative and technical matters.
• Determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Other duties may include shift, weekend and on-call coverage.
• Travel across USA and internationally for support and training.
