Job summary

Roche Holding AG is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist to support Roche product lines in the Rochester, New York area. This field-based role involves daily travel, on-site service, repair and installation for laboratory customers, diagnosing mechanical, hardware and software failures and documenting all activities to support quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of progressive experience acceptable.
Certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory.
Willingness to travel, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

Provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair and installation of Roche products.
Serve as customer contact for technical and service-related issues.
Perform preventative maintenance and document all activities.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software and system failures.
Contribute to quality improvement and maximize customer satisfaction.
Travel daily within assigned territory and up to 10% overnight travel.
