Job summary

Bruker is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Chemspeed Automation, based in the US (California home-based, extensive travel). The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and application support for complex instrumentation at customer sites.

You will collaborate with engineering, applications, sales, and end-users to ensure successful deployments and sustained service performance. A strong background in physics, engineering, or life sciences plus robotics and automation is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical, engineering or life science field.
• 3+ years field service in scientific instrumentation, robotics, and automation in a lab setting.
• Ability to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with robotics, automation, and lab automation systems.
• Proficient with Windows and CRM/service management systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair automation systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations to ensure uptime.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues via root-cause analysis.
• Provide training and remote/on-site application support to customers.
• Document service activities and maintain configuration records.
• Collaborate with R&D/Engineering to improve product performance.
• Assist with planning logistics and spare parts.
