Job summary

Philips in Columbia, SC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites. You will manage customer relationships and ensure timely resolution of issues, while meeting entitlements and commitments.

Role requires strong electronics/mechanical knowledge, ability to work across regions, and willingness to travel up to 70% with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in diagnostic imaging service environment or 4+ years in electromechanical industries.
• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent; CBET/CRES/BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
• Able to work in office/home office or hospital environments with safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to entitlements, setting clear expectations, and meeting commitments and arrival times to address and resolve customer needs.
• Actively participate as a member of the regional work team; work to improve team processes and identify training gaps.
• Perform all administrative duties within established Philips, State, and Federal regulatory requirements and timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders (FCO), preventative maintenance (PM), installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork.
• Utilize tools, support, resources, and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively.
• Approximately 70% travel across the specified geography is required; average driving time 1-4 hours daily; occasional overnight stays and travel by air/train may be required.
