Job summary

Philips invites a Field Service Engineer to join our Columbia, SC team. You will install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites, enforcing safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

You will travel regionally (1–4+ hours daily) with occasional overnight stays, collaborating with a regional team to improve service delivery and processes. A 4+ year imaging service background and electronics/engineering degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment (field or hospital-based).
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent; engineering degrees preferred (BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET).
• Ability to install, diagnose and repair imaging equipment using electronic, mechanical and networking theory.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and manage customer relationships, ensuring timely service and revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional work team to improve processes and identify training gaps.
• Complete administrative duties (timesheets, service work orders, PMs, FCOs, installation documents) per requirements.
• Resolve hardware, software, and networking issues using tools and escalation processes.
• Travel across geography; average 1–4 hours driving daily, with possible overnight travel.

Education

Associate Degree in Electronics

BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred
