Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Chandler, AZ seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up of complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites.

You will analyze symptoms, troubleshoot to component level, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime, while documenting activities and mentoring junior engineers. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Engineering or related field; 5+ years experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Proficiency in reading electrical/mechanical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; ability to work in clean room environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services of Lam’s equipment at customer sites.
• Perform analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting; isolate issues to component level and implement corrective actions.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and updates; maintain records coordinating with Lam and customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, delivering customer satisfaction and mentoring junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and create customer action plans; discuss opportunities and challenges to build trust.
