Job summary

Ferrotec (USA) Corporation in Livermore, CA seeks a field service technician to install evaporation systems, train customers, and perform on-site acceptance testing.

Travel up to 50% and provide on-site diagnostics, repair, and technical support by phone and email. An AA degree in engineering or physical science with 2 years of electronics diagnostics experience is required; vacuum tech or semiconductor equipment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AA degree in engineering or physical science with 2 years’ experience in electronics diagnostics & repair.
• Experience or education in vacuum technology, thin film or semiconductor process equipment preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and on-site repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs new evaporation systems and performs on-site acceptance testing.
• Installs new component packages and provides on-site training.
• Provides technical phone & email support to customers.
• Performs field warranty and non-warranty repair work.
• Contributes to safety, quality and continuous improvement goals.
