Job summary

Ferrotec is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installations and repair of evaporation and semiconductor equipment. The role involves traveling to client sites up to 50% of the time, providing technical support, and performing on-site acceptance testing and upgrades.

The successful candidate will have an AA degree or equivalent in engineering or physical science and 2 years’ experience in electronics diagnostics and repair, with preferred knowledge in vacuum technology, thin film

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent in engineering or physical science with 2 years’ experience in electronics diagnostics & repair.

Responsibilities

• Installs new evaporation systems and trains on-site acceptance testing.
• Installs new component packages.
• Provides technical phone & e-mail support.
• Performs field warranty repair work on systems and components.
• Sells and performs billable field service work including audits, upgrades, training, and repair.
• Troubleshoots and assists factory repair services.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.
• Maintains a healthy and safe work environment.
