Job summary

A Hiring Company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and electromechanical equipment at customer sites. You will act as a product expert on select EVG product lines and train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.

This role requires travel up to 20% domestically and internationally, along with an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2–4 years of related experience in semiconductor/electronic production

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor's degree in a related engineering field with 2–4 years of experience installing/repairing semiconductor/electronic production equipment.
• Advanced electromechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement process methods and terminology.
• Ability to identify and solve advanced process-related system problems.
• Proficient communication and professional conduct with customers, management and coworkers.
• Advanced PC skills (Windows, MS Office).
• Kepner-Tregoe Problem Solving and Decision Making training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional and courteous service to customers to achieve total satisfaction.
• Assists customers and others in identifying and repairing equipment-related process problems.
• Performs onsite preventative maintenance and verifies operational quality of equipment.
• Performs start-up, warranty, paid service, and service contract activities and hardware setup within timeframes.
• Keeps management informed of down situations; documents, logs and reports activities.
• Troubleshoots and corrects process variations; diagnoses hardware or process problems.
• Participates in local customer meetings and communicates with customers face-to-face, via email and telephone.
• Prepares and submits all required paperwork on time; maintains equipment logs and records.
• Complies with OSHA and safety requirements; travels as needed.
