Job summary

ASM International is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, and troubleshoot ASM's advanced semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites. You will work in cleanroom environments, perform maintenance and upgrades, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent military training.
• Minimum 4 years supporting OEM semiconductor capital equipment in field service or manufacturing.
• Ability to obtain Level 3 certification through ASM's Global Training Center (GTC).
• Knowledge of wafer fabrication environments and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Experience troubleshooting gas delivery systems, vacuum systems, RF plasma systems, and semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and gas schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, startup, checkout, and decommission ASM's complex semiconductor equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on ASM systems.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, gas delivery, RF plasma, robotics, and microprocessor-controlled systems.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate equipment issues and develop corrective action plans.
• Prepare and communicate daily status updates and pass-down reports.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required to support customer operations.
