Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment at customer sites and in our facility. You will collaborate with global customers to ensure world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

The role requires technical training or an associate degree, 2–4 years in semiconductor support, and travel up to 10% with potential international assignments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military technical training, or certificate equivalent.
• 2–4 years in semiconductor or equipment support.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic mechanical knowledge: pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• Knowledge of hand tools and how to use a digital multimeter.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with installing equipment and performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Follow training procedures and published task plans to test equipment and diagnose problems.
• Complete required job documentation and safety training for processing parts.
• Represent Applied Materials professionally with a customer-first mindset.
• Meet on-site safety, environmental, and COVID-19 guidelines.
