Job summary

Amtech is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to lead technical field activities for aftermarket support worldwide. You will install, calibrate, service, and upgrade semiconductor equipment at customer sites while providing advanced training and support.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, maintaining logs, and collaborating with engineering teams, with up to 50% travel and occasional evenings. A relevant engineering degree and PLC knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and passport.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience installing and maintaining complex electromechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Understanding of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs.
• Remote position with up to 50% travel to customer sites worldwide with regular last-minute travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and commission Amtech manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide effective solutions promptly.
• Conduct advanced equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance performance.
• Provide advanced technical support and training to customers on operation and maintenance of semiconductor equipment.
• Document detailed service activities including maintenance logs and repair reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support to resolve complex equipment issues using Field Service Reports and related documentation.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by addressing needs promptly and professionally.
• Lead onsite and offsite training regarding products and services.
• Follow ISO procedures and wear PPE as required.
