Job summary

Alamar Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, and upgrade the ARGO platform at customer sites across the East US and beyond.

This hands-on, customer-facing role offers opportunities to influence field service development and collaborate with Engineering and R&D. You will travel to customer laboratories, build strong relationships, document service activities in CRM, and contribute to scalable support processes, with base salary between $120k and $140k plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field; 1–3 years field-based experience in biotech preferred.
• Exceptional ability to communicate across all organizational levels, including executives.
• Pragmatic thinker with a clear and effective approach to problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical, electromechanical and fluidic subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Instrument installation, planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, and upgrades for Alamar's ARGO platform at customer facilities.
• Provide remote and on-site customer support across the East and Southeast US and beyond; preferred locations Baltimore, MD or Philadelphia, PA.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Document customer requests and actions in CRM; ensure rapid response.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive solutions to customer-facing issues.
• Provide Voice of Customer insights to inform product improvements.
• Create and refine scalable customer support processes for future growth.
• Create / review technical work instructions, manuals, and bulletins.
