Job summary

Alamar Biosciences in Fremont, CA is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to support our ARGO platform at customer sites across Southern California. This role focuses on installations, maintenance, and proactive service to ensure high performance and reliability.

You will perform remote and on-site service, document activities in the CRM, and collaborate with Service Development, Engineering, and R&D to drive product and process improvements. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical, scientific, engineering, or life science field.
• Typically 2+ years of field-based service experience in biotech, life science, diagnostics, or related instrumentation.
• Experience performing on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and customer support with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Installations, planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, upgrades and field actions for ARGO platform.
• Provide remote and on-site support across Southern California, with regional scope to the Western U.S.
• Troubleshoot instrument and workflow issues and communicate resolutions and next steps.
• Cultivate relationships with customers and cross-functional teams; document activities in CRM.
• Collaborate with Service Development, Engineering, and R&D to drive improvements and share Voice of Customer insights.
