Job summary

HNI Workplace Furnishings is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to provide on-site support, installation, troubleshooting and training across our product lines in Muscatine, IA. You will develop and deliver installer training, support dealer partners, and collaborate with project teams on quality and product improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, technical consultation, and proactive problem solving to ensure uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience; 4 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical training and assistance for internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project installations.
• Coordinate with project teams to support quality improvement and new product developments.
• Develop and maintain installer training content and curriculum and execute certification programs.
• Lead Muscatine-based installation training, scheduling, and report field issues to inform training needs.
• Assess installer capabilities and provide targeted development plans for key partners and markets.
• Provide onsite consultation to resolve product quality and installation issues.
