Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform preventative maintenance and installations for Mammography and X-Ray equipment in the San Ramon, CA area. The role supports first shift hours (8 AM–5 PM PT, Mon–Fri) with potential after-hours on-call.

You will drive service excellence and customer satisfaction while adhering to hospital and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, leading installations, and coordinating with customers and sales to grow

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent military education with 4 years field service experience
• High school diploma/GED with 6 years relevant experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to be available after hours and on-call including weekends
• Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and no visa sponsorship planned

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate preventive maintenance of medical equipment in hospital settings
• Troubleshoot, service repairs and installations of moderate complexity
• Lead communications with customers and escalation for issues including installations
• Own customer issues from dispatch to resolution
• Proactively collaborate with team to ensure optimal solutions for customers
• Lead installations, validations, maintenance and service repairs on designated equipment
• Assist service sales with contract and on-demand revenue growth
• Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication and proper follow-up
