Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Support group. You will be on the front lines delivering on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for Lam's semiconductor equipment at customer sites.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, coordinate field modifications, and mentor junior engineers while traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance services, and installation/relocation start-up at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate issues to component level to minimize downtime.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Assist in field modifications and coordinate activities between Lam and customers.
• Serve as an expert representing Lam and achieving high customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and develop customer action plans to address needs.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to build trust.
• Provide technical instruction and mentor junior engineers.
