Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an engineer to install autonomous systems, test and validate performance, and travel extensively to customer sites. You will work with software (C/C++, MATLAB, Python) and CAD tools to modify equipment and ensure system reliability.

The role requires a BS/BSET in Engineering, 2+ years of experience, CAD proficiency, and strong communication to interface with clients and cross-functional teams. Expect field deployments and documentation duties.

Qualifications

BS or BSET in Engineering or related field is required.
Minimum 2+ years of full-time engineering work experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Prior software experience required (C, C++, MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic preferred).
Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD) and Microsoft 365 for documentation.

Responsibilities

Install autonomous vehicles and peripheral equipment (chargers, I/O panels, operator interfaces, etc.).
Perform system testing, debugging, and validation for optimal performance.
Travel 60-75% domestically and internationally to customer sites.
Modify equipment and software to improve functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical and software issues across system components.
Provide software and hardware adjustments and monitor system performance metrics.
