Job summary

JBT Marel in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and test complex food processing equipment across multiple technologies. You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues while ensuring safety and compliance.

Extensive travel (80–90%) is required, with on-site customer interaction, operator training, and detailed service reporting. Associates degree or equivalent, 2+ years field service experience, and a valid driver’s license are

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 2+ years field service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, servos, and automated control systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test equipment across multiple technologies and product lines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues; conduct maintenance and audits.
• Lead or assist with upgrades, retrofits, and performance optimization.
• Provide on-site training and clear communication with customers.
• Prepare detailed service reports and ensure safety compliance.
