Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, and validate equipment at customer sites. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and on-site repairs to ensure reliable operation.

You will train customer personnel, document all activities, and travel extensively, including overnight stays, to support global customers. Strong English communication and PLC/schematic literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in field service, preferably with industrial machinery or food processing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and validate JBT Marel equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including PLCs.
• Provide customer training on operation and basic maintenance.
• Document service actions, parts used, and time spent.
