Job summary

JBT Marel in Los Angeles seeks a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain, and install our equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You will diagnose faults, perform overhauls, calibrations, and start-ups, and collaborate with the Technical Service Manager and Sales Department to support onsite operations. Willingness to travel extensively is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years mechanical and basic electrical experience.
• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic skills.
• Calibration skills and instrumentation reading ability.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and maintenance of JBT Marel equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure machinery is clean, calibrated, and operating to standards.
• Coordinate with Technical Service Manager and Sales to communicate between sites and head office.
• Advise on parts, tooling, and equipment requirements at customer locations.
• Assist with equipment overhauls under guidance of the Technical Service Manager.
• Support field testing and performance evaluations.
• Install, commission, and start-up new equipment.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and uphold reputation for service excellence.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Travel extensively to customer sites.
