Job summary

Pace Analytical in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking an experienced instrumentation specialist to maintain, repair and qualify HPLC, UPLC and IC systems. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a closely related field and 5+ years of hands-on troubleshooting.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $90,000 per year with full benefits and up to 25% travel. You will draft procedures, support QA and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure instrument reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field and at least 5 years instrument/equipment troubleshooting and repair work.
• Expert knowledge of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UPLC, and IC systems.
• Experience calibrating and qualifying HPLC, UPLC and IC equipment.
• Ability to diagnose complex instrumentation issues and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, and IC systems.
• Calibrates and qualifies HPLC, UPLC, and IC instruments.
• Recommends improvements to instrumentation and processes.
• Sourcing and ordering supplies to maintain instrument inventories.
• Develops and revises SOPs, calibration procedures, and qualification protocols.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and communicates results to management.
• Ensures data accuracy through audits and documentation; supports QA activities.
