Job summary

EquipNet seeks a Field Service Engineer to support Hamilton and Tecan liquid handling systems across biotech and clinical labs. You will provide remote, on-site, and in-house refurbishment at our Cerritos facility and at client sites, ensuring uptime, regulatory compliance, and optimal performance across automation workcells.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Hamilton and/or Tecan liquid handling platforms.
• Experience with Hamilton Venus and/or Tecan EVOware/FluentControl software.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (robotics, pneumatics, motion control).
• Comfortable performing bench-level refurbishment in a shop and field service at client sites.
• Familiarity with LIMS or lab automation integration is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with compliance and documentation focus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote, on-site, and in-facility technical support for Hamilton and Tecan systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to manufacturer specifications.
• Refurbish and recondition systems at our Cerritos facility and at client sites.
• Support installation, IQ/OQ/PQ, and validation of new systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation scripts (Hamilton Venus, Tecan EVOware/FluentControl).
• Provide technical training and guidance to laboratory personnel.
• Maintain accurate service logs and compliance records.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer service to expedite issue resolution.
• Extend support to Beckman Biomek, Agilent Bravo as needed.
