Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer to perform fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems, a critical role in post-sales support.

You will troubleshoot on-site and remotely, drive customer satisfaction, and collaborate with account managers to define service programs. Strong hardware diagnostics, server experience, and English communication are essential; travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years field support experience servicing complex X86 systems.
• On-site customer service experience and break/fix mindset.
• Hands-on with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP) and hardware diagnostics.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments is a plus.
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to lead investigations.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of complex issues on server systems.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and timely repairs.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers and distributors.
• Create and review fault triage and training materials.
• Travel to customer sites up to 25% and train staff as needed.
• Produce meaningful service reports and metrics.
