Job summary

JEOL USA, Inc. is seeking several field service engineers to join our team. These positions are based in Boise, Idaho, with additional postings in Dayton, OH, Detroit, MI, and Albuquerque, NM.

You will diagnose, install, and maintain JEOL products such as electron microscopes and ion beam lithography instruments, traveling to customer sites and collaborating with scientists to keep systems up and running.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or science required.
• Minimum 6 months related experience.
• Solid electromechanical understanding and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Valid license and passport; up to 30% overnight travel.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electron microscopes within the territory.
• Analyze sources of instrument problems systematically.
• Prepare reports of findings and recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, vendors and supervisors to ensure satisfaction.
