Job summary

Prosum seeks a Field Service Engineer in Boise, ID to install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology systems at customer sites. This role involves hands-on work in cleanrooms and regular interactions with international teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in semiconductors, experience with diagnostic tools and laser/optical systems, and are willing to travel domestically and internationally. U.S. citizenship or a green card is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• 2–5 years of professional engineering experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, DVMs) and hand tools.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Familiarity with lasers, vacuum, and optical systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer support and training.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
• Interface with customers to assess issues and deliver technical solutions.
• Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
• Provide documentation and service reports to management.
• Participate in equipment evaluations and product improvement initiatives.
