Job summary

Reveal Technology seeks a highly technical, mission-driven engineer to work with military and special operations end users, solving complex operational challenges through hands-on software development, hardware integration, and rapid prototyping in high-stakes environments. This role requires proximity to Fort Bragg, NC, up to 50% travel, and top‑secret/SCI eligibility.

You will help translate real-world mission needs into scalable technical solutions and contribute to edge computing deployments

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in defense or dual‑use innovation, ideally forward‑deployed or special operations contexts.
• Deep familiarity with Python, Go, C++, and systems‑level programming for edge hardware.
• Experience designing, consuming, and integrating with RESTful and gRPC APIs; ability to interface with third‑party platforms via adapters/plugins.
• Operational understanding of the defense mission space and use of systems like ATAK, Palantir, Lattice, and Reveal Farsight.
• Proven experience delivering secure, tactical software/hardware systems in sensitive or constrained environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and embed with special operations, military and security end users to identify operational challenges and deliver tailored hardware/software solutions.
• Rapidly prototype low TRL platforms that can mature into Reveal product offerings.
• Act as a frontline engineer and technologist, bringing back validated user feedback and performance data to inform internal roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Reveal engineering teams rear/remotely to transition fielded prototypes into scalable, productized capabilities.
• Serve as a field-facing authority on Reveal’s technologies, including Farsight, bridging user needs and technical development.
• Lead field integration of Reveal products with adjacent systems (e.g., ATAK, Lattice, Palantir), articulating operational value.
• Manage technical deployments in austere environments, including edge compute, networking, and UAS.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership across multi-disciplinary teams with government and commercial partners.
