Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a dynamic Field Service Engineer to support Ambr systems from remote in the Chicago area. You will install, commission, calibrate, and provide preventative maintenance, with up to 80% travel to customer sites across the territory.

Strong diagnostic and mechanical/electrical skills are essential for success. Qualified candidates have an associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent, plus 2+ years of field service experience in high-tech environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field service or commissioning experience in high-tech settings.
• Experience with capital equipment commissioning/test and service environments.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventative maintenance and repair across systems.
• Maintain fault-finding data and feedback product performance to customers and internal groups.
• Acquire product knowledge and demonstrate continuous self-improvement.
• Perform in-house service activities as needed and follow service procedures to keep software/configuration up to date.
• Document time, expenses and work performed; collaborate with Product/Support teams to resolve complex issues.
