Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Operational Commercial Engines Customer Technical Services team, supporting the PW2000 and PW4000 engine fleet. You will resolve complex technical issues related to hot section and controls hardware while partnering with customers, MRO facilities, and cross‑functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience: Supporting aerospace systems, turbine engine hardware, or engine component systems in an operational environment; demonstrated success in technical troubleshooting, customer support, cross‑functional engineering collaboration, and leading technical teams or projects to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with global airline customers, MRO facilities, and Pratt & Whitney Field Service Representatives to guide hot section and controls systems.
• Partner with engineering programs to resolve technical issues, monitor fleet health, and implement engineering changes.
• Lead engine event investigations to identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and communicate engineering authorizations and service documents for maintenance data.
• Represent Pratt & Whitney in customer-facing engagements and technical discussions.
• Identify recurring field issues and propose solutions to improve time on wing.
• Support on-call schedule for urgent customer and operational issues, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
