Job description

An international manufacturing corporation in the East Providence, RI area is searching for a Field Service Engineer to do a variety of work in maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in the field to support their maintenance office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation or robotics machinery with great communication skills.

Responsibilities

1. Install, repair and do preventive maintenance on machines in the field.
2. Troubleshooting and customer support over the phone.
3. Follow a predictive maintenance schedule.
4. Emergency equipment repair and troubleshooting.
5. Write instruction manuals and procedures for new machines.
6. Repairing and testing of defective parts.
7. Quality Control.
8. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

Minimum Requirements

1. Associate’s Degree or Professional Certification in Mechanical/Machine Technician or related fields preferred.
2. 1-5 years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Automated or Robotics equipment experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of Electronic Parts / Mechanical systems.
4. Able to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English.
5. Able to travel on short notice both domestically and regionally.
6. Able to work nights and weekends as requested.
7. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform regular physical activity.
8. Must have a Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.
9. This position will not support visa sponsorships.
10. This position will not support relocation costs.
