Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking a Service Engineer to perform installation, start-up, maintenance and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites in Phoenix, AZ and Albuquerque, NM.

The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and working in cleanroom environments with PPE and safety protocols. Travel is minimal, training provided, days and night shifts on a 12-hour compressed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, maintenance and repair of semiconductor equipment at customer sites
• Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and manuals
• Replace defective components and ensure proper system functionality
• Support relocations, upgrades and process improvements
• Work in cleanroom environments with PPE and safety compliance
• Collaborate with senior engineers for advanced troubleshooting
• Maintain service documentation and reports
• Build strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally
• Participate in on-the-job training and continuous learning
• Execute tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting

Job description

Position Details (Service Engineer)

• Location: Phoenix, AZ/Albuquerque, NM
• Pay: $35-40/hr+ (based on experience)
• Schedule: Compressed work week (front half / back half)
• Shifts: Days and nights available, 12-hour shifts
• Environment: Cleanroom setting requiring PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols
• Travel: Minimal mostly just for training

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Replace defective components and ensure proper system functionality
• Support equipment relocations, upgrades, and process improvements
• Work in confined cleanroom environments while following all safety and compliance standards
• Collaborate with senior engineers for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and system updates
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the company professionally
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) and continuous learning to stay current on equipment and processes
• Execute assigned tasks with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
