Position Summary

We have an open Field Service Engineer opportunity at Vantage. This is a key role on our sales team. We are seeking a dynamic and sharp professional with technical experience who can add significant value to the business and our customers. The role will be based out of a remote office, near a major airport. To succeed, the candidate should have familiarity with commercial excellence, proven value capture, and the flexibility to travel extensively.

Position Scope

The role focuses on installation, technical optimization, and troubleshooting of equipment within customer facilities. Responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating, monitoring installation projects, generating data from field observations, training customers, developing custom solutions, and promoting our products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule field engineering projects, primarily installing industrial bakery equipment across North America.
• Maintain, update, and optimize equipment to meet customer specifications.
• Interact with clients to interpret project needs and design solutions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales teams to deliver solutions.
• Communicate with management regarding planning and installation activities.
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, policies, and regulations.
• Provide off-site technical support to customers.
• Perform activities safely and professionally, following procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to align on priorities.
• Develop and manage accounts and sales opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

Background: Bachelor's in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or related; Mechanical Engineering preferred; 3+ years in field engineering or related roles.

Skills & Talents: Full-time availability, some weekend travel, mechanical aptitude, electrical schematic reading, CAD skills, experience with hand tools and electrical wiring, physical ability to lift 60 pounds, proficiency in MS Office, willingness to travel 40-60%, good communication skills, troubleshooting skills.

Pay & Benefits

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience. Includes benefits like health insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, 401(k), and more.
