Job Description

This is a Field Service Role supporting customers across parts of the US, Central and South America as needed. The position is based in West Chester, Ohio, USA, with 100% travel expectations. The Field Service Engineer will work on a team or individually to install, perform preventive maintenance, and repair Colibrium additive manufacturing machines. These activities ensure customer production machines operate at peak performance, produce quality parts, meet production schedules, and adhere to industry standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. The Field Service Engineer will install, perform preventive maintenance, and repair equipment, working independently or as part of a team.
  2. Perform troubleshooting at the system level for complex multi-symptom problems.
  3. Collaborate with Service and Additive engineering teams to resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and process issues.
  4. Assist in site preparation, coordinating labor and materials with minimal supervision.
  5. Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures.
  6. Maintain quality systems and adhere to the GE Aerospace Service Quality Policy.
  7. Complete administrative tasks timely, including service bulletins and PM documentation.
  8. Maintain communication with customer technicians to ensure equipment status and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
  1. B.Sc. Engineering / Associate’s degree with 2 years of technical experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of field service or technical experience.
  2. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including extended periods.
  3. Availability to work on weekends and holidays as needed.
  4. Ability to troubleshoot logically at subsystem and system levels.
  5. Proactive, motivated, and able to think outside the box.
  6. Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  7. Commitment to staying current with technological advancements.
  8. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Strong customer service skills, tactfully managing differing opinions.
