Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks Field Service Engineers to perform calibration, installation, maintenance and repair of Teledyne LABS products at customer sites. You will work with a team or independently and travel up to 75% to support multiple customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related scientific study; 5–10 years lab troubleshooting/repair experience.
• Experience in GMP environment and with dissolution/diffusion applications is preferred.
• Candidate should have experience in analytical laboratory or analytical instrument service and understanding of calibration/repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, implement, maintain and repair Teledyne LABS products on-site at customer sites.
• Install and optimize hardware/software/network configurations at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
• Perform maintenance and repair services.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations to improve performance.
• Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent downtime.
• Train other engineers or customers as needed.
• Calibrate equipment on-site for large-volume customers.
• Handle on-site service with broadly defined objectives; solve non-routine issues.

Job Description

Field Service Engineers perform routine and complex work related to the calibration and maintenance of process and laboratory equipment and instrumentation. We have field positions which requires individuals to work at multiple locations for multiple customers. Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment or individually as well as work with minimal supervision when necessary. Engineers are trained to provide superior onsite calibration and maintenance services. They perform these services according to their skill and experience on a variety of equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of Teledyne LABS products.
• Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
• Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
• Performs maintenance and repair services.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
• Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
• Serves as an internal resource on technical issues. May train other field engineers or customers.
• May calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers.
• Works on on-site customer service and support assignments with broadly defined objectives
• Solves non-routine issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization.

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related scientific study; would also consider those with an Associate's degree (A. A.) in Engineering or an equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and 5 to10 years related experience in laboratory troubleshooting/repairing analytical equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate should possess experience in the analytical laboratory, or analytical instrument service with an understanding of calibration and or repair. Experience in GMP environment and experience with dissolution and diffusion applications is preferred.

Salary Range

$62,800.00-$83,700.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
