Job Title

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing customer accounts by providing hardware/software maintenance of stand-alone Agfa products and associated peripheral equipment. Your main responsibilities will include implementing timely installation and repair services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and actively promoting all company offerings.

What You'll Do

1. Install and repair assigned Agfa products, including safety verification of electrical and environmental factors at customer sites, testing to ensure functionality, and reviewing basic operational functions with customers.
2. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment, including courtesy visits and managing time & material accounts.
3. Maintain communication with the Regional Manager to escalate difficulties and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Document service calls, expenses, and time reports daily and submit weekly according to procedures; ensure documentation is clear and neat.
5. Manage parts ordering and return of repairable spare parts.
6. Ensure service aids, tools, and diagnostic equipment are in good condition.
7. Coordinate with the scheduler to meet response time and uptime commitments.
8. Promote all Agfa offerings, including System Maintenance Agreements, Professional Services, and Products.
9. Adhere to safety policies on the job and while driving company vehicles.
10. Interact effectively with customers, understanding their demeanor and personality.
11. Work collaboratively with other Agfa employees, demonstrating company loyalty and making fiscally responsible decisions.
12. Be resourceful and motivated, working independently without supervision.
13. Serve as an onsite conduit to Agfa management and Sales for customer issues, representing product expertise within limited product lines and customer environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent.
• 2-3 years' experience in high-tech fields, printing, publishing, or inkjet environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem analysis and judgment capabilities.
• Self-awareness and self-motivation.
• Knowledge of the graphics, inkjet, printing/publishing market is an asset.
• Strong customer service principles.
• Experience with remote diagnostics.
