Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; OR participation in the GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 2 years of experience servicing electronic or electro-mechanical equipment
  • Experience with Web applications and Microsoft suite of products
  • Valid driver's license, maintained throughout employment
  • Willingness to travel for training
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available
  • Technical capabilities in OEC Surgery C-Arms preferred
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
  • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
  • Specific vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-time and accurate corrective service and preventative maintenance on equipment modalities
  • Follow Field Modification Instructions and Instrument Service Information bulletins
  • Work with experienced Field Engineers onsite and remotely to learn troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation techniques
  • Assist with equipment installation
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and service repairs on designated equipment
  • Communicate and partner with teammates, colleagues, and customers to resolve issues and ensure follow-up
  • Recommend value-added services to improve customer business efficiency
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities including customer service reports, repair-parts ordering, expense submission, and cycle-time management
  • Use the GEHC escalation process and collaborate with regional and national support on corrective action plans
  • Serve as a member of the account community for key accounts
  • Engage commercial counterparts, identify sales leads, participate in contract renewals and sales opportunities, and support revenue programs
  • Build customer relationships and become a perceived business partner
  • Monitor competitor information and market trends
  • Answer service calls independently within one year of employment
  • Comply with GEHC quality, health, environmental, safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
