Job summary

Vertiv, a leader in mission-critical infrastructure, seeks a Customer Engineer for field services covering UPS, PDUs, and battery systems. Travel and on-site work required, with emphasis on first-time fix and customer satisfaction.

You will perform installs, commissioning, and preventive/emergency maintenance while coordinating with Technical Support and adhering to safety guidelines. A background in military tech is valued, along with relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

• Experience: ASEET or AMEET certification (or progress toward).
• 4+ years military experience in a related technical field.
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service UPS, PDUs, and battery systems (2-120KVA).
• Provide on-site and phone support to customers, aiming for first-time fix.
• Communicate with Technical Support on issues and follow procedures.
• Adhere to Safety Bulletins, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips.
• Complete timecards, expenses, mileage and service documentation timely.
• Maintain inventory and perform cycle counts per policy.
• Operate safely and meet on-site response time requirements.
