Job summary

Sulzer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems, split time between engineering team objectives, field service, and shop support. The role involves on-site diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and hands-on tasks with ongoing onboarding training.

Candidate should have 4 years in electrical engineering, including motors, generators, transformers, and switchgear. Travel to customer sites is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering expertise in motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and power semiconductors.
• Understanding of basic power theory and electrical machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on customer requests on phone and on site.
• Carry out unplanned on-site services and troubleshooting on electrical installation incl. motors and generators.
• Prepare and perform planned preventive maintenance checks on electrical machines including AC/DC motors and generators.
• Review engineering documents to formulate project roadmaps.
• Follow Safety, Environmental Policies and ISO procedures.
• Develop innovative processes and procedures to support growth.
• Travel to customer sites for diagnosis and repair.
