Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States seeks a Field Service Engineer to support installation, commissioning, and service of advanced power grid control platforms. You will work with HMI, MicroSCADA, and PLC-based systems, performing fault tracing, verifications, and on-site technical support across projects.

Qualifications

• Candidate must already have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Experience with field service and installation of control systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of substation products, equipment, and engineering practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, commissioning, and service of power grid control platforms (HMI, MicroSCADA, PLC).
• Perform fault tracing, corrections, implementation, and verification of control system components.
• Provide primary field and phone support for service teams and customers on control system matters.
• Assist with control system design, implementation, and testing across projects.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, suppliers, and customers to meet service requirements.
• Deliver control system training to internal teams and customers.
