Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform complex field service operations, including installation, maintenance and repairs, remotely or on-site. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, travel across the US, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of field service experience with power equipment, a technical engineering background, and a valid US driver's license.

Qualifications

• College or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset.
• Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical trades.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical field service work with power/mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations with strong technical skills.
• Deliver services remotely or on-site, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and proactively prevent issues.
• Identify and resolve electrical or mechanical problems with minimal assistance.
• Lead field service projects and provide direction and analysis.
