Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, with a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay. Wages vary by skill level and experience, and benefits are competitive.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain licenses/certifications to work in security per state rules.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Mathematical skills including basic algebra/geometry and calculations.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installation.
• Integrity, communication, excellent service and accountability are valued.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify all installed systems/devices function per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters to read volts/ohms and analyze circuits; connect devices to panels.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain how the installed alarm system works to customers.
• Complete paperwork and submit to appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers and Central Monitoring Station.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
