Job summary

Dunbar Security Solutions in Greenbelt, MD seeks a Security Field Supervisor with a $25.00 per hour pay and a full-time schedule (Wednesday–Sunday, 8:00–16:00 or 16:00–00:00). The role oversees officers, ensures posts are staffed, and trains staff across multiple sites to maintain high safety and service standards.

Responsibilities include on-site visits, post compliance, staffing support, client communication, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland security guard license
• 12 months of security operations supervisory experience
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a good driving record
• Knowledge of safety and legal standards related to protecting people and facilities
• Strong communication skills, including by phone and two-way radio
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Professional, courteous demeanor with customers and team members
• Availability to work the rotating schedule and other shifts as assigned
• Experience in an essential service environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and unannounced visits to multiple Dunbar sites during each shift, addressing concerns and providing procedural guidance as needed
• Confirm officers are in proper uniform and all posts are staffed according to post orders and Dunbar policies
• Support compliant staffing, officer training, and uniform inventory and controls
• Provide prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers, working with clients and management to resolve concerns
• Prepare accurate reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, conflicts, or unusual occurrences
• Receive call-offs and review schedules to find replacement coverage while keeping overtime to a minimum
• Cover open posts until relieved
• Document policy violations or unusual occurrences and initiate appropriate follow-up, including disciplinary action when necessary
• Pick up and deliver documents and materials between Dunbar sites
• Follow all state licensing and certification requirements and company standards for vehicle operation and security duties
• Perform other related duties as assigned
