Job summary

Interface Systems is seeking a Security Alarm Technician to diagnose, install and service intrusion, fire, video surveillance, network and VoIP systems. You will work in the field, often outdoors, to resolve issues and ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and hands-on experience with telecom and security equipment. NICET certification is a plus. Equal opportunity employer; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of field technician experience in electronic security.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Solid understanding of telecom, data, security, and wireless systems terminology and practices.
• Experience with safety standards and OSHA policies.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain intrusion, fire, video surveillance, network and VoIP integrated systems.
• Work in the field using efficient methods to solve service issues.
• Train customers on Interface provided systems.
• Maintain inventory levels with physical counts and document items.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling.
• Firestopping of cable penetrations.
• Promote OSHA Health & Safety policies.
• Interface with customers on projects and service requests and coordinate with vendors.
• Hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and tools.
