Job summary

Interface Systems is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician to diagnose, install, and service intrusion, fire, video surveillance, network and VoIP systems on customer sites.

You will travel, work outdoors in all weather, maintain inventory, train customers, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks; NICET certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Vocational/Technical/Business School preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• NICET certification a plus; field experience in electronic security.
• Ability to read/understand technical drawings and documents.
• Proficiency with telecom, data, security and wireless system terminology.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to pass state/federal background checks to work as a security installer.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and working outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain intrusion, fire, video surveillance, network and VoIP systems.
• Work in the field to diagnose and solve service issues efficiently.
• Train customers on Interface provided systems.
• Maintain inventory levels through physical counts and documentation.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling; perform firestopping as needed.
• Interface with customers and vendors; travel for projects and service calls.
• Maintain vehicle/tools; on-call duties may be required.
