Job summary

Lakeside Foods, Inc. is seeking a Field Scout to support our Agriculture Department in Owatonna, MN. The position involves outdoor field work during the summer months, assisting the Agriculture Manager with daily tasks, seed delivery, GPS field mapping, stand counts, and routine pest monitoring.

You will report daily findings and help determine harvest timing through pretest assessments. Ideal candidates have agriculture experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Agriculture experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Positive attitude and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist Agriculture Manager with day-to-day tasks.
• Aid in seed delivery and GPS mapping of fields.
• Take stand counts in fields.
• Routine monitoring of bug traps.
• Report daily findings to Agriculture Manager.
• Pretest field-derived product to gauge harvest timing.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Here at Lakeside Foods, our Field team is the backbone of our field operations, ensuring proper operation of the agriculture department. The Field Scout will perform a variety of day to day tasks with the Ag Department. If you are a creative problem-solver who likes to work outdoors during the summer months we want to talk with you.

What You'll Do:
