Job summary

Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Mobile/Baldwin County area to drive growth in residential plumbing and HVAC markets. The role focuses on supporting contractors, builders, remodelers and trade customers with Ferguson's extensive product portfolio and services.

This field-based position offers base plus commission with uncapped earnings, a fuel card, auto allowance, and a company-provided laptop and cell phone.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience to residential or commercial plumbing/HVAC contractors.
• Results oriented, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work occasional Saturdays in showroom.
• Willingness to travel locally within territory to meet customers and attend events.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving, leadership, and listening skills.
• General digital literacy; able to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, and trade professionals.
• Drive sales growth by promoting Ferguson's residential plumbing, HVAC, water heater, bath, kitchen, and related products.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits, customer meetings, and contractor outreach to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with branch teams, showroom associates, vendor partners, and operations to ensure great customer experiences.
• Monitor local construction activity and remodeling trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Educate customers on new products, pricing programs, inventory solutions, and value-added services.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans to increase spend and grow market share.
